Position for Crushing Section Engineer - Mining Industry - R1.92mil - R1.5mil
Hire Resolve’s client in the mining industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Crusher Section Engineer in the Northern Cape.
Responsibilities
Safety:
- Compliance with all safety regulations as set out in the mine policies
- Produce a risk register for the engineering function with risk ratings
Maintenance Management:
- Initiate and monitor actions to comply with the company maintenance management policy
- Prepare an annual maintenance budget and comply with it
- Life cycle costing (LCC) should be put in place and monitored on a real-time basis to ensure accurate forecasting of component replacement
- Ensure that the engineering workshop is equipped with tools and equipment to enable subordinates to work safely and maintain good engineering standards
- Produce root cause failure analysis (RCFA’s) for repetitive breakdowns and premature failures
Labour Management:
- Manage roles and responsibilities of subordinates
- Define labour structure and ensure vacancies are filled within a reasonable time
- Pro-active management of conflict and disciplinary and grievance actions and monitoring trends
- Put in place a system to initiate and monitor on-site suppliers and/or contractors
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Engineering Degree
- GCC Mines and Works
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience in a supervisory role in an open cast mining environment
- Proven Experience with crushing machinery
